The cotton woven in the Chita area of Aichi is generally called Chita Cotton. Chita Cotton has gained high evaluation as "white cotton". The history carried to Edo can be traced from more than 400 years ago. Called as “the No.1 goods in Japan for sending to Edo”, the “quality” and “whiteness” have been highly evaluated both now and in the past. In the Chita area, even today the shuttle looms made in 19th century still weave fabrics slowly. Therefore, without causing burden to the cloth, a unique soft texture is created.
Chita Cotton Antenna Shop "478" is renewed from the former Naka-Shichi Cotton Main Store in Okada, Chita. All the products in the store are made from Chita Cotton. The process of dyeing cotton is actually very difficult, the base white cotton is required to have the cleanliness of the weave and the wash. Chita Cotton is highly evaluated for its "quality" and "whiteness" and is loved by dyers all over the country.
The cotton of "WATAKUMI" pursued the possibility of narrow fabrics is original Chita Cotton by improving the traditional hand towel and yukata fabric for shirts. Due to the width of traditional fabrics, it is narrower than ordinary clothing and is only 38 cm wide. Therefore, we devised a pattern and used up the fabric without any waste. We aim to balance the traditional fashion with modern beauty by sticking to the collar, buttons, and back view. White shirt which is durable soft and with good absorbency. There are 4 types of designs (capri, stand, fly front, button down).
